Frequently asked questions

How many sessions will I need?

Typically, the recommended series consists of 5 to 8 weeks of treatments, followed by a maintenance treatment once a month. The results are visible after the first visit, however, the effects depend on age and the condition of the deep tissues.

How it works?

Manual therapy of the face, neck and décolleté allows the deeper layers of muscle tissue and fascia to be reached and treated. The specific movements of this massage help stimulate and retrain the muscles to further promote a lifting effect on the face and improve muscle elasticity. It helps release tension in deep and superficial areas of the muscles, promoting total recovery.

Often what is needed is the work of a specialist in manual facial therapy, who will reduce muscular tension in the face, head, neck, décolleté, through fascio-muscular massages, lymphatic drainage, osteopathy - detaching tissues from bones in order to restore their position of years ago and also improve their density by clearing circulation and lymph, at the same time we improve the production of collagen or increase the number of capillaries, adhesions regenerate and rejuvenate at the cellular level.

Skillful use of the techniques known to me will not only eliminate tension in the facial area, but will allow the whole body to relax and restore harmony. The face will appear younger, better nourished, oxygenated and relaxed.

What happens during treatment?

1)  During the procedure, the client will be lying comfortably. Anna will start by cleaning her face to remove makeup, sunscreen or other products.

2) Anna will then begin the treatment with a massage of the décolleté, neck and shoulders, then the face and the inside of the mouth to work the lower face and jaw. The intraoral part of this procedure is performed with gloves. We will stimulate and stimulate various areas of the face for complete regeneration.

3)   If you have very tense jaws, you may feel some discomfort during the first massage. Anna will always check if the pressure is right and adjust them accordingly.

What should I do after treatment?

It's common to feel deeply relaxed after a session, but your facial muscles may feel a little tired. Depending on your level of tension before treatment, your face or jaw may be sensitive.

It is important to stay well hydrated after a treatment to help eliminate toxins released during the session. It is perfectly acceptable to continue with your normal daily activities after a session, but we recommend that you relax for the day.

When will I start seeing results?

Results can be seen after the first visit, but the difference is more noticeable after the third or fourth treatment since the results are cumulative.

Is the treatment painful?

The treatment is normally very comfortable. However, if you have a lot of tension in your jaw, you may experience some discomfort during the massage. Usually this is good therapeutic discomfort, but Anna will always check if the pressure is correct and adjust accordingly.

Will this help my TMJ pain?

Yes! Tension in the muscles from clenching, grinding, or chewing can increase jaw pain if you suffer from TMJ problems. A manual facial therapy is a wonderful way to relax and restore healthy muscle function to the jaw area and relieve pain associated with TMJ.
